MK--9 months
Written by Meg Tuesday, 20 April 2010 04:12
I cannot believe that Maggie is 9 months. One week from today she gets her brace off (if the doctor is true to his word). In this last month...
1. She still likes everything she has tried. Some of her new favorite fingerfoods are cheese toast, tortellini, sweet potato casserole (surprise, surprise), and the cheese pizza topping.
2. She waves much more and seems to try and say "Hi" and "Buh."
3. She LOVES Ana. I will be cooking in the kitchen, and I will hear the girls in the family room laughing so hard. Ana knows just what to do to get her sister to laugh and MK dies with laughter. I can't help but smile when this is going on.
4. Maggie wears pigtails most days now. :)
5. Maggie LOVES Manuela. She absolutely lights up when she sees her, and she purposefully plays peek-a-boo with her. It is so sweet.
6. She has no problem with being with her daddy if I am around (Ana was totally a Momma's girl), but Maggie is my little buddy. The child will not cry if I just stand up with her, and I do that alot. She will fuss with everyone else, but if I am holding her in those moments she really is like my extra limb.
7. She loves her baby from Memaw (Greg's mom). Anytime I go to get her from the crib she is holding her baby and many times I will just let her talk in the crib for awhile to baby. She pats, pats the baby and gives her kisses. I love it.
8. You will see from the pictures below that our lives are about to change big time. A harness + a deep couch = a momma not needing to worry about a child moving around. Maggie is definitely ready for crawling. I have been told that the definition of crawling is figuring out a way to get from point A to B. If that is the case, MK "crawled" across the bed the other day to get a cord that was definitely out of her reach.
9. She still reminds me so much of my younger siblings, Collin and Katy.
10. She turns 1 in the 3 months!!!
I had to take her brace off for this picture. One more week, sweet girl!

She loves being outside on the patio with Ana. It works great for me when hanging laundry. If you can't tell she is absolutely cracking up at Ana's Cookie Monster voice.

OK, this is what I am talking about. 4 months in a harness doesn't keep this 9 month old from trying really hard. Bless her heart. She wants to move to get the unreachables so badly right now.

I really couldn't resist taking this picture from up high. Is her slits position not amazing! If only I were that flexible. :)
